Reeves Family

I come from a long line of Reeves in the southern NJ area starting with Abijah Reeves 1766-1816. The line continues through Jarvis Reeves 1792-1873, Richard Reeves 1823-1900, William Chessman Reeves 1855-1939, Ida Reeves Ross 1890-aft 1979, David Bennett Ross 1911-present. David Ross is my grandfather.

I am always looking for other family members and more information.

    My name is David M. Williams, Fairfield, Illinois.  My great grandmother was a Reeves; her father was Charles Armstrong Reeves; who father was Green Reeves.  Green Reeves settled in pre state Texas and Charles Armstrong Reeves was born in pre statehood Texas.  Green Reeves was apparently born in the Illinois Territory and then establishd residence in Arkansas, Louisiana and then pre statehood Texas.  Green was married to a Jane Johnson who was apparently a full blooded Cherokee.
