    Roberta, I have James Brown, b. circa 1764 who married Janet Walker on 11 Apr 1789. Their children are: James & Jean chr. Stewarton 1789, Janet 1793, Mary 1798, Ann 1801, Elizabeth 1804. I descend from Janet who married James Stevenson in 1814. I have no other information on this family.

      I have a David Muir in my family tree as he married one of my family members, Annie Freeman, in Kilmaurs in Oct 1869.  David was born in 1845 in Neilston and was the son of William Muir and Mary Stewart.
