Gould - Bermondsey and Chelsea
I am looking for two families of Goulds - hoping I might be able to link them. The Bermondsey line include two Johns who were merchant seamen and have proved impossible to find in census returns so far!
The Chelsea line have confusing members John and Hugh and were part of a family who were bootmakers and clothiers in and around Leader St in the mid 19C. I have found them as far back as approximately 1800 to John Gould born Shrewsbury but can't find anything else about John such as his actual birth/baptism record etc. Can anyone help with either of these families?
