Johannes "John" and Elizabeth (Litteral) Shoemaker

Johannes "John" Shoemaker, b. 8 Sep 1795 in Jefferson Co., Pennsylvania, son of William and Anna Maria (Strum) Shoemaker, d. 28 Jan 1860, Adair Co., Missouri. He m. Elizabeth Litteral, 19 Aug 1817 in Fairfield Co., Ohio. Elizabeth was b. abt 1797 in Pennsvylania and d. abt 1837 in Fairfield Co., Ohio. My research shows that they had four children: Samuel Shumaker, b. 19 Feb 1819 in Fairfield Co., Ohio; Charles Shumaker, b. 24 Apr 1823 in Fairfield Co., Ohio; John D. Shumaker, b. 23 Jul 1825 in Fairfield Co., Ohio; and Mahala Shumaker, b. abt 1829 in Fairfield Co., Ohio.
