Hi, I am researching a one name study on LIGHTOWLER families and other variants of the name worldwide. I would love to share the information I have with others searching for their families and I have a large database of LIGHTOWLER families!!
I see Dave Bland is already a member, he has done far more research than me; I don't get that much time - but I have maintained a Lightowlers website for a few years now lightowlers.yolasite.com . I would be interested to see the information you have collected.
Thanks for the complement Paul.
I'm still chipping away at the brick walls. I'm looking at a couple of wills from 1623 at the moment, they link the Yorkshire Lightowlers back to the Rochdale ones, infact there are members of a family split between the 2 counties. The two wills also refer to Lightollers and Lightoulers.
I too would be interested to see the Lightowler database.
Hi All - my maternal grandmother was a Lightoller (in New Zealand). I have a lot of info on the New Zealand Lightoller branch if anyone is interested. I would love to share information - and am especially keen to learn more of how the Lancashire Lightollers are connected to the Yorkshire Lightollers. My lot came to New Zealand from Chorley.
