Great to hear from you - I havent had too much time to spend romping about this site, but from what I have seen so far, I know I'll have a good time when time pemits!
Sad news: the Lodge Calvert was a false lead. I was following the trail of a wrong Mary Calvert. I was so certain I had found the correct Mary, but there were a few things that just didnt add up. The final blow was contacting a researching who was also descended from Lodge Calvert, and had the page from the family Bible which recorded all the births/deaths - and there it was in black and white: MY (supposed) Mary Calvert died as a child!!!!
(I do still have e-copies of the pages from the Calvert family Bible, and can send them to you if you like.
But I did finally managed to find the correct Mary Calvert - she was the daughter of a Timothy Calvert from Luddenden (just north of Halifax). The big
clue was that Mary and her husband John Brown had the good sense to name a couple of her children after her mother's maiden name (Cockcroft) - I should have seen the clue of "Cockcroft Brown" right away, but sometimes we miss the obvious. There was also a child named Mary Calvert Brown, which again confirmed the Calvert connection.
Do these new names mean anything to you??

Absolutely, I would love it if you'd pass this on to teachers in Colorado. The only thing is the magazine is mainly geared toward Indiana history and genealogy, but there are a lot of things about it that teachers anywhere could use. By the way, I will get those obituaries sent your way soon - sorry it's taken me so long!

Sorry for the slow reply... just had some surgery and it took a while to be able sit at the computer for longer than a few moments. My Riddell family was from Coleraine, Londonderry, Northern Ireland and before that they were from Roxburghshire, Lilliesleaf, Scotland (abt. 1420 to about 1636), and prior to that England Geoffry Riddell in the year: 1120 and Blaye, France: about 1043 Galfridus Riddell (about the time of the second crusade)
