Dominique Ritchot
I'm a direct descendant of Jacques Nason dit Ritchot. He was the son or Richard Nason (who died during the attack of Sturgeon Creek) and Shuah Colcord. Jacques was taken to the Abenaki mission near St.Francois du Lac (co. Yamaska) and later bought by Mr Hertel who placed him in the Crevier family. Jacques Ritchot married Elisabeth Dubois.in 1703. I have collected all the descendants of my ancestor. All of them are accounted for at least up to the early 1900s. I can say, without any doubt, that your Peter Richards, b. abt. 1787 in St. Thomas, West Indies is not related to Jacques Nason dit Ritchot.
