I'm connected to the Kauntz family through my maternal grandmother. Her father (my great grandfather) was William Carey who married Rebecca Charlotte and William's parents were William Henry and Charlotte (she who was born on the 'Atlas'!)
I have a photo of a mother and child who I believe are Charlotte with George Beeby Carey. My rationale is that the photographer named on the back was in Calcutta from 1855 and gave up photography in 1869
I also have photos of Rebecca after her marriage to William. Would you be interested in them?
