Hatch is quite a common name on the Hampshire/Wiltshire borders. My wife has several in her family and yesterday visited Plaitford/Landford which is right on the border. Her family all came from the area.

    Hi Jesse
    I have Albert BIDDLECOMBE b 6 May 1862 Bramshaw (B.Cert BX178230 Lyndhurst) married Edith HATCH 14 Feb 1888 (Hampshire Record Office Bramshaw marriages 1847 - 1947, PR11 19, 55M83, 2/5, p111, #222). I also have located Edith's monument at Bramshaw Parish Church and copied the inscription. She died 29 Dec 1945 and was buried 2 Jan 1946 age 78.
My wife's family (BIDDLECOMBE) came from Bramshaw and there are several families who I have been unable to link, her Grandfather was Charles George BIDDLECOMBE b 22 May 1876 in Bramshaw. So it is possible we have a link, but not yet proved!

    Hi Jessie,

We made contact a few years ago as we were both related to William Hatch. He was on the convict ship in 1851. Well, I'm in Perth on business and today I visited Fremantle Prison. I'm not able to get further north where he was later living.

I'm flying to Melbourne next Sunday 20th for 3/4 days. I wonder of you wanted to speak or meet up?  I'm staying at St Kilda's.  My email address is Richard.backhouse@outlook.com and my mobile is +44 (0)7889 408 170.

    Best wishes

    Richard
