Sandoe, Sando, Sandow
These, and very similar names, have varied origins (UK, Germany, France, Scandinavia, Latin countries etc). So far, my database mainly has Sando/w/es of UK origin
What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?
Hello Sidney,
Thank you for your welcome and enquiry as to my interest in the group. My maiden name was Sandow, and I trace back through George Sandow 1820, married to Susan Jenkin, emigrated to South Australia in 1849. I have a lot of information about the family once in South Australia, but am interested in learning more of their Cornish roots. I believe that George's parents were Stephen Sandoe, born 1787, died Wheal Butson, Parish of St Agnes on 14 Feb 1840, married to Elizabeth Benny/Binny. I would like to trace them further back, and also build up a picture of their lives in Cornwall. Kind regards, Christine
