    Hello, Daryl -

Glad to see you are still around, I found an old post of yours from
the mid-nineties asking about Polley's - specifically children of Edward
Polley - I believe, and then found that you were here.

It's possible we are related as my G-grandmother (father's
mother's mother) was Dicy Polly of Letcher County Kentucky,
she was the second wife of Randall Collier Day Sr. - my
    grandmother was their youngest daughter.

She (Dicy) was the daughter of Anthony Clayborn Polly b. 1827,
Mayking, Letcher Co. Kentucky (but that was before Letcher
Co. was actually created, so must have been part of another
    county at that time.
Anthony was the son of (an) Edward Polly.
His year of birth, etc. shows as unknown in what I was just looking at,
but elsewhere, I think I have seen this traced back further,
to a Joseph Polly who was a Revolutionary War veteran
    of Virginia.

If you are related to Dicy, you may also be related to some Caudill's
(I see you are researching them, also) by way of that connection
as my grandmother was a first cousin of the
mother of noted author Harry Caudill (also of Mayking, KY).
I think that connection was on her Polly side, that would be
a sister of Dicy marrying into that branch of the Caudill's,
    I guess.

Not sure if that helps or just muddies the waters - good luck
    in your research..

My grandfather was a Peacock from Blanchester, Ohio.  His father was Alva, and his gfather was William who was born in Trenton, NJ.  I am stumped beyond that point.  I am new to this site and don't know how to post online.  My grandmother was a Quaker named Cora Moon, of Clinton County, Ohio.  The Moons were all Quakers and I have their ancestry.  Can you point me to the right direction?  Thank you.
