    Thanks for the response.  I will give you what I know so far.

    I am related to a CPT Thomas Sheppard Esq of Castle John, Tipperary, Ireland.  He had a brother William located nearby him at Castle Sheppard, Tipperary, Ireland. They were in the 1600's.  David, a son of Thomas, immigrated to the USA to Cumberland County, New Jersey.  Before CPT Thomas was his father Thomas (buried Maulden, Bedsfordshire, England.  Before him was another Thomas (1500's) from Redgrave-Botesdale, Suffolk, England and before him a Robert Sheppard and then Richard Sheppard both also from the Redgrave-Botesdale, Suffolk, England.

    That's as far as I have but have heard something about a gathering of Sheppard family at Castle Sheppard a few years ago, so I think there are some around somewhere.  Anything you can do will help.  I have reached out with a comment to a Barry Sheppard of this group but have not heard back from him.
