Hi Joan, My g grandmother was Jane Struthers daughter of James Struthers and Margaret Ormiston. She married William Alexander in 1869. My G grandmother was born in Carnwath Lanarkshire but I think her father was form Avondale. You also mentioned Muirkirk, do you mean Muirkirk in Ayrshire ? My mother was born there - I have wondered if there was a link between Muirkirk and Avondale. Who knows , perhaps we are connected ! Jane
