I am so excited!! I have a direct connection to John C. Bankston of Bolivar County, MS. in the mid 1800's. I only recently discovered this connection!! I will gladly share any information I have that would help you in your Bankston research. : ) I am sure you have valuable information that would help me! This connection to the Bankston line has solved some challenging mysteries I have had for many years in my genealogy research- yet caused more mysteries too! lol Isn't that how it goes with genealogy? But that makes the research so much fun. (Sometimes! lol) I hope you are still researching your Bankston line. My email is jenicoe2001@yahoo.com. I hope we can make a connection with our Bankston genealogy research. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon!
I am the editor of the Bulletin, issued three times a year, for the Tri-City Genealogy Society in Richland WA.I would like to include your article “Surname Origins of Our German Ancestors” in one of our issues and mention your editing history with Roots Web. For the latter I would use some comments from Roots Web posted January 3, 2007, “tell us it isn’t so.” I would give you appropriate credit for the article, let you review it, and suggest that our members check out the Genealogy Wise site with all its good genealogy help.
