This lecture will cover a quick overview of basic British genealogy and an overview on how to do 19th Century British genealogy. We will discuss:
-the history and geography of Cornwall/Kernow,
-the records available for the Cornish genealogy researcher
- online
- at the SCGS library
-how to use the records
Erica Hahn, a JD from the University of California. She has worked as an administrative law judge for the State of California for nearly 27 years. Erica started her genealogy in 2000. She started working with Cornish records about three years ago. She belongs to a number of lineage societies including the Mayflower Society as the assistant governor of the Orange County colony. Her ancestry is colonial American on her mother's side and Hungarian on her father's side. Erica was a family history consultant for two years at the Family History Center in Huntington Beach, CA.
The library will not be open for research.
