It is a pity USA records are not as detailed as British. Though yours do have the quarter and year born, but hard to read.
All of the British and Scottish and Wales census records are transcribed now up until 1911.
BD&M records start in 1837 and onwards and now can be searched if a family ids required after 1911.
You should be able to find them in USA Army records possibly thru your loal Library, they could assist you and direct you to
a site on the net. I know that there are such sites, by going onto the internet type in Corean Vets or army sevice Vietnam etc.
The USA Army Deceasd soldires site often show records. You can try this site Commonwealth War Graves Commision it often has US soldiers that died in combat listed, bur it is a Aust, New Zealand and british site combined with others that died in various fields of battle incliusive of Boer War, WW1 & 2 and later wars mostly to do with CWGC.
Another site is the USA War Offfice records
