Hi Christine

Selden Bliss was a private in Company C of the 40th. His hometown at the time of recruitment was Jefferson and he was mustered out 12/6/63. [SOURCE: http://40thindiana.wordpress.com/company-c/]

Hi Christine

Seldon E. Bliss was a private in Company C of the 40th. His hometown was listed as Jefferson and he was mustered out 12/6/63. Apparently he was also listed as being wounded slightly in the right foot at the battle of Missionary Ridge 25 Nov. '63, so his wound may have precipitated his mustering out early the next month.
