finding census enumerators

Hi.

I have an oddball question.  My father Robert Hyatt was in New York City during the 1930 census.  He often talked about taking being an enumerator in "Hells Kitchen"  There are so many ED's in that area that I am not sure where to look.  All that he really ever said was that he bought a bag of candy and gave it to the kids and told them  to tell their parents that the census man was comming to count them and not to be afraid of answering the questions.  I am guessing by this he was in an immigrant, tenement type of situation.  

Does anyone have any ideas of where to find a list of enumerators, if such a thing exists.  Or maybe a way to  narrow down lmy choices of ED"s to look at.
