Looking for

Looking for birth record of my great great grandfather who came from Wales. On one of his sons' death certificate it states he was born in Swansea, Wales. Can not find anything further or who his parents were. The name is Thomas B. Lloyd and he was born 1826. His first son was born 1853 in Maryland.
His wife, Winnifred Evans born 2 Feb 1831 and place of birth listed was Swansea, Wales. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also was given a ship name of Tonawanda but can not find anything else about the ship or if Thomas arrived on that ship. He was a coal miner and lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Ohio where he was living when he died in 1877.
