1 - My 5th great grandfather on my father's direct line:

Thomas Jefferson Young

Born sometime before 1837.  Died July 11, 1897 in Corinth Texas.  Married Evaline "Vannie" Virginia Hill right after the civil war, where he served in the Georgia 121st and was a prisoner of war after Gettysburg. He gave a different birthplace/date at each census, and I can find no actual record matching his information prior to his enlistment in 1861.

2 - My 3rd great grandfather on my mother's side:

Abram "Abraham" Heath

Born sometime before 1837, likely after 1830 (possibly New Hampshire).  Died April 6, 1911 in Corinth, Nebraska. Married Julia Ann Morse one year after discharge from the 12th Regiment of Wisconsin Volunteers, where he served since 1861.

I can find no record of him definitively prior to the civil war, but I found two possible census hits in New Hampshire:

1840 listing an Isaac Heath as head of a household with one child that would be Abramn's age.  The trouble is Isaac was in his 60's and had two other unnamed adult men in the household, so there is no way to know if this is Abram or, if it is, if Isaac or one of the another adult men is the father.

1860 listing of an Abraham Heath with the right age, but no other identifiable information to know if it is the one we seek. Abraham and Abram Heath were both common names at that time.
