Loyalists in North Carolina

I am currently researching the Loyalists in North Carolina during the summer and fall months of 1780. This project has recently uncovered additional surnames and family history involving the American Revolutionary War and several skirmishes within the piedmont region of North Carolina. Following their actions, their opinions, and their migrations beginning before the war and afterwards unlocks a major chapter with local history. how many of you have ancestors who were Loyalists during this time period?
