Trying to find information on my maternal grandmothers family. Her name was Catherine Edna Lyon (1912-1985). She had a brother, James R. Lyon, Jr., known as Buck who married Marguerite Gossage and two sisters, Louise and Evelyn, Their mother was Mary Ella Rogers. I only know that they settled in Maryland & North Carolina and that back in their family tree was a plantation known as "The Two Brothers Plantation" somewhere in Maryland. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, Catherine Edna was my grandmother.Ira K. was my grandfather and Shirley is my mother.
I have spent many hours on ancestry.com as well and have traced James Reeder Lyon all the way back to a King of Norway, A King of Italy and a Queen of Sweden.
Would you mind telling me what a Street Huckster is?
The 1910 cencus was evidently for my great great grandfather.
How kind of you to help me.
Thank you.
Mary L. was my great Aunt, Mary Louise. Mary and Marvin were her children with Marvin Barber.
My grandmother's name appears as Edna C. which is incorrect, I don't know why.
Apparently, back then, at least in my family, it was customery to take in extended relatives.
Thanks again.
