Moore Family

I have been looking for the parents of John Moore for about 12 years.  He was married to Mary "Polly" Barnhouse 1835 in Randolph Co., VA/WV.  In 1850 he was in Tyler Co., Dist 61, VA/WV with wife and children.  Oldest child was Jonathan, my gr gr grandfather.  John died (or left) sometime before 1854 because Mary married William Brannon in 1854 and settled in Calhoun Co., Va/WV. Jonathan served in the Civil War for the Confederates.

On Ancestry (which I'm a member) someone has entered parents for John.  Another researcher has strongly stated this is incorrect.  I do believe she is right.

Hope someone has some ideas. I'm looking thru the 1840-1850 census line by line in Randolph and Tyler counties and writing info for the Moores.  I'm not giving up!
