Hello,

Have been hiting a "Brick wall" in pursuing my great grandfather James Mulholland married to Elizabeth Wilson or Smith. Probably born in Newry about 1840

His son also James M moved to Glasgow Scotland late 1800,s married Mary Lovell 1901 and had a son

also James M. my father

Mary died in Newry 1902 while on a visit.

My father spent some years being fostered by David Smith and wife Anne(sister of his father) on Stream St Newry.

Any help appreciated

Hello,

Some corrections and additions:

Eizabeth Ann Smith  was a Wilson at birth, later marrying a Smith who presumably died then married my GG/F James Mulholland and lived on Church St Newry next to St Patricks church(of Ireland).

His son my G/F moved to Glasgow and married Mary Lavelle(not Lovell) in 1901.My father james born in same year 1901.

Mary lavelle  on a visit to Newry stayed with relatives David Smith and Ann Mulholland who lived on Stream st,also adjacent to St Patricks. She died and was buried in St Patricks graveyard 20th Jan 1903.
