Person vs Research Notes - Family Tree Maker 2010

The Resolve All place names feature in Family Tree Maker 2010 suddenly stopped working. I called customer support and after testing a few things It was suggested that I export the family fle as a GEDCOM and then import it. This fixed the Resolve All function which, according to the customer support person, indicated that my file had become corrupted. However, I then noticed that all my Person Notes were missing, at least I thought they were until I discovered that they had been somehow converted to Research Notes. Since they were treated that way before the export/import of the GEDCOM file, I have to believe that has something to do with it. I would like to easily fix this. Does anyone have any ideas on how to quickly transform the current Research Notes into Person Notes? I know I could cut and paste but there are 942 pages of notes  :(
