Seems that alot of us are from the Berkeley's and the Dudley's. I myself have researched the Berkeley's alot over the years. I love the connection to historical figures such as William Shakespeare (he wrote A Midsummer Night's Dream as a wedding gift to the family) and Capt Cook (another friend of the family.)

 

The family has lived in Berkeley Castle since it was built by Maurice The Make Peace Berkeley in 1153 (except for the brief time it was owned by the Tudor's)!! Im descended from Maurice. :D

 

Berkeley University in California was named after the family.

Attached is some of what I have on the family (male line), this is one of those families I thought I was descended from but proved not true, so have not really researched it very well - additions / corrections appreciated.
