NICHOLLS - Cornwall & Somerset & maybe Londontown

Initially I thought our Nicholls were from Kenwyn/Truro, Cornwall, where William Hodges Nicholls is to be found in the 1841, 1861, 1871 UK census, where in 1824 he married Jane Rundle, and where over the next fourteen years his children were born.
However, he was born 1801 or thereabouts, in Tauton, Somerset according to the census.
We have found the Nicholls family in Somerset who are connected to these Cornish Nicholls, and who were witnesses at their marriage.
One son, James Nicholls born Cornwall 1837 married Harriet Bawden, however, we have found their marriage in Leicestershire, their son Harry born 1856 in Manchester, and James working in London as a law writer.
So, while we continue to research for our Nicholls in Cornwall, and Somerset, we are aware there is also a London connection.
