I am descended from Joseph Pinnington ( Pennington) and  his wife Harriet Chiswell ( Chesell) Joseph was born in Atherton in England in 1787. Three of his sons Christopher, Benjamin and Reuben were sent here to Australia as convicts and their name changed to Peninton. Reuben was my gr-gr grandfather

I descend from Selina Pennington (b. 1817 NC) who married Henry Shankle. David Pennington was born 14 November 1778 in Anson County, North Carolina. David was the son of David Pennington and Lydia Gilliam [source for Lydia's surname: Iris Hurst (1985) Pennington Pedigrees 17(2), p.57]. David Pennington married Nancy Harris on 22 December 1803. David died 22 January 1864 and is buried in the Pennington Cemetery, Stanly County, North Carolina.
Nancy Harris was born 28 September 1785. She was the daughter of Brantley Harris and Elizabeth Edwards. (Note that Elizabeth Edwards Harris Harris was married first to Brantly Harris and second to Arthur Harris. Nothing new on my line but I have not been doing very much research as I am in the tax business and was working about 60 hours a week before April 15. Also I have been stuck on this line for a long time.

I am looking for information on Isaac Pennington born 16 May 1715. He was the son of Abraham Pennington. Isaac married
Mary Williams 8 Dec1733 in Cecil Co., Maryland. My Williams line (Providence, wife Sarah, Joseph Williams, wife Lydia and Ann Paulson/Poulson) sold land in Cecil Co., 1736 while they were living in Orange Co, Virginia. The Penningtons were also living in Orange Co. at the time.

The land records for Abraham indicate the same land -- Pembrook and Emory's Choice. I am trying to connect this information and find more information on Mary Williams, wife of Isaac Pennington. Tina

My Pennington line goes back to a Joseph Pennington m. 1750 in Little Egg Harbor, Ocean Co., NJ to Pheobe Slocum. This is all I have on Joseph.

His son Israel b. 1752 NJ d. 1810 Monroe Co., NY. m. Abigail Conklin she b. 6 Mar 1755 d. 6 Oct 1836 MI

Their son John Pennington b. 25 Aug 1778 Stafford, Monmouth Co., NJ d. 29 Dec 1860 Macon, Lenawee Co., MI m. Hannah Willetts 1806 Perintown, Monroe Co., NY John converted to the Quaker faith in 1807

Their daughter Abigail b. 25 Apr 1816 Monroe Co., NY d. 27 Nov 1865 Lenawee Co., MI m. 22 Apr 1841 Lenawee Co., MI to Jacob Snyder

My line of Penningtons are from Hendricks County, Indiana,
William N. Pennington (1841-1921). His son was Ernest Leroy Pennington (1877-1952) my grandfather. Ernest died in Wichita, Kansas and I know little about him after 1925 when my grand parents divorced. Would like to know about him.
