Hi, I'm Diana (nee Reeves) and I live in Cambridgeshire UK.

I'm researching my Launton lineage from (father to son)

Henry Reeve c1695 - William Reeves c1725 - Richard Reeves c1766-1851-Thomas Reeves 1791- Henry Reeves 1838-1910- Austin Henry Reeves 1869 - 1953. (my grandfather)

Many of my paternal line had large families, famously nearly all sons, many of whom emigrated to US and Aus. I'm trying to track down any descendents from the Launton line (Oxfordshire UK) who emigrated from 1600 onwards.

Hi!

I've become interested in the Reeves of Launton, as possible progenitors of my Reeves family that appears in Prince William County VA, descending from George Reeves b 1695-1700.  Have you had any luck in finding emigrants from that line?  Do you know of anyone in that line who is a Reeves who has done a Y-DNA test?

I think a Y-DNA match in DNA group 10 (at The Reeves Project) may descend from Richard bp 1801 son of the Richard Reeves you mention (whom I have as bp Nov 1768, son of William and Mary).  This is still rather conjectural at the moment.  If correct, the John Joseph Reeves who emigrated in 1872 with his family to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania would be a descendant of the Reeves of Launton,
