It's All About the Records!

Don't be influenced by assumptions that records don't exist. With genealogy, it's all about the records. Often one will hear one say, well I know that my family was from a certain community, but I can't prove it. I once had an elder tell me that I would not find the family in Mississippi, because the did not keep records on our people. Thank goodness I knew to keep looking.
