Hi Lisa,
I never met any of my folks, i'm hoping to find some living relatives. Yea there was a signature on there where her mother did signed the death cert. My grandmother died in 1941 and her mother would have been about 70 years old cause she was born in 1871. I had someone look at the names again and it is a possibilty that insted of Fonenza, it could be that the F is a first intial, maybe for Filamensia and her middle name Lonenza.

I'm still looking Willette. Not having much luck finding either Lenn/Lorence or Filamensia/Flonenza. Are you saying that there was a signature for your grandmother's mother? If so, it could mean that she was still alive. When did your grandmother die? Can you ask any of the cousins that she lived with that may still be living, what happened to her parents?

Hi Lisa,
Well I have been looking for info on my fathers side, I have my grandmothers name which is Edrean Lomax-Cammon, she is in all the census from 1900 to 1930 in Monroe AR. been trying to find info on her parents which are Lenn Lowmax, b. 1864 in MS. and Filamensia ? Lowmax, b. 1871 in MS. that is what the 1900 census say for Brinkley, Monroe Co. AR. I just got my grandmothers death cert. today and it's alittle hard to read there frist names, but I think that they are Lorence (Lorenzo, Lorenza) Lomax and Flonenza Anthony. I can't seem to find them before 1900 or after. Now on her death cert. it is all typed in excepted for her mothers signature, my father signed it and the funeral director, the M. D. signed it, now could that mean that her mother was still alive when my grandmother passed away, I need help in finding the ggreat grandparents, I would like to know what happened to them, in 1910 census it says that my grandmother and her siblings were living with a cousin. His name was Tucker wilson. I just can't put any of this together.

I could use some more help now, I just recieved my grandmother Edrean's death certificate and it says that her fathers name is Lorence (Lorance) Lomax , it says that he was born in Como, MS. and her mother's name is Flonenza Anthony, it doesn't say where she was born. My father is the informant who signed the certificate, it is alittle hard to read his and her first names, but it does say Lomax and Anthony as there last names.

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has access to census records, I was hoping to get some of you to look at the 1900 and 1910 census for Monroe Co. Arkansas and tell me if you think that the cousin that my Grandmother is staying with in the 1910 census (which is hard to read) is his name Tucker Wilson b. 1867 living with wife Lillie Jones, I just need to confirm if that is his name (Tucker). the 1870 census for Panola Co. MS. we think that he is on there to indexed as Meeker Wilson. I'm trying to piece together how they are cousin, my grandmother and either Tucker or Lillie.

Thank s Alane, M. Henson and George for all your help. Alane the names don't sound familiar to me, there was never any mention of any one on this side of my family from my father at all, he never talked about them.
