CEMETERY LOOKUPS - CAN SKS HELP FIND THE BURIAL LOCATION OF.......IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA
I thought I would start Cemetery lookups as a seperate discussion by state as they can be somewhat specialised and difficult.
My personal one is the location of burial of my wife's great grandparents in Adelaide. I have searched and researched many sites but have been unable to locate them, ev en were older family members have said to look. They and there death details are from copies of the death certificates. To the best of my knowledge they were buried together.
James Richards 15 Jun 1935 Norwood Died Age 85 residenceGeorge St Norwood which is also place of death Nor-570-2422 copy of certificate held Retired Farmer born Smerset England 65 yrs in aus Issue Living 3F deceased 1F same undertaker as for Alice death regikstered 23 Jun 1935
Alice Ann Richards 12 Oct 1932 Norwood Alice Ann death age 72 12/10/1932 widow of James Richards Farmer Nor-542-315 co[y of certifict No 4 living at 49 Elizabeth St Norwod SA which was also the place of death Birthplace Yorkshire England 58 years in Aus 1M 3F issue Living 0 deceased undertaker W H Proal 227 Parade Norwood death registered 13 Oct 1932

I am in Wollongong NSW, when I was looking for a grave site I contacted the local council, they looked up their records and gave me the site where the person I was looking for was buried.
Not sure if this helps.

Of course this will not work in large cities like Adelaide. Burials can take place in another local govt authority area.
