Debbie
Births to 1919

These can be found on line, but most go to about 1909 as the hundred year rule came in for births.
http://www.archives.tas.gov.au/ then name indexes. is not a direct index to records but contains a large amount of information (not necessarily verified) about Tasmanian families.
Andrew Benham has offered to help with a local cemetery:

For anyone who might have relatives buried in Point Clare cemetery on the NSW Central Coast I am quite happy to take photographs of headstones, etc as I live close by.
In a post Cheryl Sharp has said "I have vic bmd's, South aust Bmd's,and a few other index's that I will name soon, so if anybody needs a hand , please ask away, I love helping my friends"
If you are able to offer assistance to other genealogists in Australia please pose your offers here.
Just posting so this reappears at the top of our discusssions list - as it is very useful resource for our new group members.
Hi I am a newbie and I am happy to help anyone with look ups, I was wondering if there are any rules when giving out copy right info, I have been on other sites where your not allowed to cut and paste info directly from genealogy cds but have to type it within a sentence due to copy right laws otherwise the moderator deletes it all, I just wondered do the same rules apply here ? I cant seem to find where the rules are listed can you point me to them Cheers Ellie
I am in victoria around Ballarat Area, have quite a few pics and records for the area. Some areas include, Ballarat, Smythesdale, Learmonth, Dowling Forrest. BDMs for most of Australia and good hints for research and how you can do this. 30 yrs experience.
This search for my long lost relatives does my head in sometimes. Its so frustrating! Will get off my soapbox now - I needed to vent

Tania :)
Moving this back to the top of the list so we can all see what assistance others are offering.
