Hi Wayne. Just received your message. Thank you very much, I will try doing what you suggeted. I have found Mary and Josephs marriage by going to the the State library in Brisbane. Before that I had no idea where they were married or anything but thanks to the information that the SA government put on their certificates in those days still none the wiser who his parents were even his death certificate which came from Victoria disn't list that. but thatn did state he came from Hastings Sussex England. Once again than you will definitely be given those sites ago as I hope to visit SA in April and visit th york Penisular where most of the ancestors came from and it would be interestering to find out as much as possible before then. Heather just reading your posts here and the Pankhurst page and wondered if you had been here:

Hi Rosemary Thank you for your reply my husband must have looked up the wrong addressHe said itt wsas in Edward Srtreet in the city
I can't wait to see what it says what it says about all of the Pankhurst especially Walter. I get so angry with Walter when I think about how he deserted his wife and kids it really stuffed up their lives. I would love to give him a piece of my mind lol... bye . Heather

Hi Heather. Queensland FHS is in the suburbs (at Gaythorne) - plenty of parking. You don't have to be a member to use the facilities but non-members pay a daily fee to use the library resources. You can always try the free trial first anyhow for World Vital Records.

Hi Heather. Not sure if you are a member of the Queensland FHS (in Brisbane) but they have a full set of the Police Gazettes that have been digitised by Archive Digital Books Australasia - also free access to all the World Vital Records collection. Anyhow investigate first on the WVR link Shauna has given you - and do make sure you have plenty of time - there are lots of records to check out.

Hi Rosemary . Thank you very much for your reply it sounds so interesting could you please tell ne how I could into Archive digital book Australia and also the other. Would I be able to get into them by visiting the Queensland State Library as I live in Brisbane, I wasn't sure when WAlter left but thought it would be close to that time
His mother was Mary and George was his youngest son his other Children were Alrfed Albert Walter Selina William Joseph my Grandfather Thomas and another girl I Cant think of her name at the moment. It would be so interesting to find out what they had to say about them. I still have 2 Aunties alive who are 94 and 91 and the 91 is very interested in the family history so it would be nice to find out more. Once again thank you . The Pankhurt Family is a real mystery it seems as if my gG Grabdparents Joseph and Mary only registered one of their children so cant find out where Walter was born because SA never put that on their marriage records in those days. and I would not know where to get a death certificate for him

Bye for now Heather
