Not sure how many use the online electoral rolls on Ancestry but have just notice they now go to 1954

Are there any Australian genealogists out there with a Google Wave account who would like to communicate using this new tool?

I have an account and want to play but the young man who gave me my invitation and I don't share too many interests (apart from an interest in technology). I am bibliaugrapher@googlewave.com. Please let me know if you are able to ride a wave with me.

Hello All
I haven't done much research for several years but took the opportunity this week to visit the NSW State Record Archives at Kingswood. I only went for one piece of information which should have taken me only 1 hour but as with all research this one piece of information led on to others and four hours later I left the State Archives with so much more than just one piece of information. The staff were fantastic and would advise anyone who can get to the repository themselves it is worth the experience. I could have purchased the document from their web site but doing the research in person saved me $23AUD. and no postage. I did have to pay for my travel from Central West NSW but I was headed to Sydney for other reasons and stopping at Kingswood was a bonus.

Hello Denise,yes that would be nice to get those details on Gee Family ,I am not sure if i let you know that i found Stella Florance Gee in N.Z.,Marriage details 1929 /4132,Husband Horace Arnott Gratton,so was quite Pleased ,it was on bdmhistoricalrecords.identityservices.gov.nz .will wait for your email ,cheers Albert.

My husband has the Gee line in his family. They come from Cambridgeshire and married into the Golding family, migrated to South Australia. We don't have any 'recent' Gees, but do have some of the 'oldies' from about 1774 - 1871. I haven't got round to checking if any of the 'rellies' came out under the Gee name, but have the South Australian B.M.D. records in the Family History Centre, so I'll have a look Friday when I'm in on duty. If you think they could be of interest, let me know. Denise

Hullo all
I am looking for anyone who is related to or knows anything about George Read born Eng 1818 came to Tas as a convict Married Mary (Hartly) Doyle born Dublin Ireland 1824 married in 1848 Tas. She was also a convict ..I have all the convict records ..they had a son George Henry 1850 in Tas then came to Vic had Henrietta in 1852 Portland,Mark 1854,Mary Read-Hartly 1855,Harriet 1857,Louisa 1858,William 1860 & Charles 1860 (died 1860) Geoge was a constable in Portland & Hamilton Vic George is buried in Glenthompson 1889 (no record at cemetery) Mary is buried at Dunkeld OLD cemetery 1865 (no record either) I have the death certificates for both. Henrietta was my Great Grandmother she married Andrew McWhirter I have all of there records just nothing on George & Mary & the other children When George died William was the informant on the cert

And will add yet again that I am overwhelmed at the magic response that I have received from Carmel and as stated previous Anja, I have received feed back and referals that I never knew existed and as you say Geniaus this SKAS is becoming a fabulous resource for all to tap into, the world of information is there as there is some one that is there to help you with in this community based folder, so come on don't be afraid to ask you will be surprised in what you get back?

I am overwhelmed by the generosity of members of this list as they help each other find ancestors and long lost cousins - Thanks you to all SKAS (Some Kind Aussie Souls) for making this list a useful resource.
