Hi, I'm a newly discovered Basden.  It's a weird story: my mother lied about my father's identity at birth because she only wanted to marry one guy and he turned out to not be my father.  My bio-father was a Basden and not a Johnson as I was told.  So after 40+ years of working on the Johnson side of the tree, I'm sawing off that limb and correcting my genealogy.  Just need to get my birth certificate fixed so that future researchers don't get confused. Nice to find a Basden group here.
