The earliest BATTY ancestor in my line is John BATTY, born in 1787 in Lightcliffe, Yorkshire, England. The family later settled in Hipperholme and Halifax, Yorkshire. Would like to fine any connections!

The earliest of my husband's BATTY ancestors was Edwin christened in 1809 in Mickleham in Surrey, England. His father is not named on the christening record!
He had 7 children including Edwin b. 1843 in Buckinghamshire in England. Edwin had 4 children including another Edwin b. 1873 in Watford in Hertfordshire in England. Edwin had 6 children including a son John b. 1901 in Southwark in Surrey - John emigrated to New Zealand and became my husband's grandfather. Love to share more detail if any of this is familiar to other BATTYs!
