Genealogical terms & dictionaries

Attached is a short bibliography I have compiled for when you come to a term/word & you are not sure of the meaning. Communicating is important & learning proper proceedures is essential in doing genealogy. I think it is too easy to do your genealogy on the internet, you just simply type in the name you want, and there is your genealogy, it is all done for you. Unfortunately, what you may not know is that there could be up to a 90% error rate in the posted on-line genealogies.

You need the proper tools to work with. If you were interested in knitting, you would reads books, take a class, and ask other knitters what to do. You would not pick up two sticks and a ball of rope and in a week produce a sweater, scarf & mittens!

Hopefully you will realize not everything is on the internet & some reading, research, analyzing and organization is essential to do your genealogy and even more so doing family history (there is a difference).
