Hi Hazel, Did you receive my note - just written a few minutes ago? Judy
I continue to research the Bosticks of Richland County. My grandfather was Joel Bostick. He Had a twin by the name of William, We are descendeded from James Bostick in 1800
I am researching the Columbia Bosticks who are first documented in 1830. Susan Bostick - FPOC and a slave owner. She lived in a cottage on Gervais Street in Columbia.
@Judith Hazlett Starsinic.yea i think its common knowledge thatJohn was the daddy lol. i think there is a document that support it but i dont have it. John was born in VA. He was the son of Vallentine Bostick. that is a Royal line,. so wats your bostick line.
I am new at this so I hope I am writing to Beazley!!!
Do you have any information regarding John Bostick of Richland County? I see the Bostick families FPOC from 1830 onward but have no information regarding the emancipator of these people. I can only assume it was John Bostick of the Columbia vacinity.
@Judith Hazlett Starsinic i am descended from the Richland County Bosticks.
I have been unable to make contact with any of the Bostick researchers. Looking for Bostick of Richland County, SC and Columbia, South Carolina.
