My Jacob ARNEY, was living in the area of York(town), York County, Pennsylvania, at least from 1749-1767.

He is believed to have had, at least four children, born in the area, with his first wife, Anna Ursula Kron.

Christian "Christy" Arney, Sr. in 1749

Adam Lawrence Arney, in 1751

Johann Heinrich "Henry" Arney, in 1755

Anna Elisabeth Arney, in 1761

It is believed that Anna Ursula Kron died around 1761, or shortly after the birth of Anna Elisabeth.

Around 1767, Jacob Arney and family, left Pennsylvania and moved to the area of Tryon County, North Carolina.

This Jacob ARNEY, is not to be confused, with the Jacob, son of Federick Ernigh (who arrived in the USA, in 1732, along with a wife and two children).  This family settled in the area of Colebrookdale Twp, in Berks County, PA and Douglass Twp, in Philadelphia County, PA (these two townships and counties were side by side, literally, at the time).  Frederick died in 1771, and his son, Jacob, died in 1776, leaving behind an unborn child and wife named Barbara.

Ever since, at least, the researchers of this family surname in the 1950's, my Jacob has been tied to this Frederick Ernigh.  Which means, no one has truly been searching for the truth.

So, we know who my Jacob ARNEY was not the son of, but now we don't know, who he was the son of?  Who were his parents, who were his siblings, where were his parents born, where was he born, etc.?

My Jacob ARNEY died in Lincoln County, North Carolina, around 1784.  His Will (the actual original still exists and resides at the NCSA, North Carolina State Archives, in Raleigh, North Carolina) is dated in 1782 and probated in 1784.  Unfortunately, the ink has faded over time, so only the bottom 1/2 - 1/3 is still readable.  The only true clue left, is he mentions his wife's name as Elizabeth.

Jacob's son, Christian "Christy" Arney, Sr. served during the American Revolutionary War, while living in Lincoln County, North Carolina, and he died in the Spring of 1834.

Finding information, about this family, during their time in York County, Pennsylvania, is vital to solving the mystery, surrounding my Jacob ARNEY.

I seek, what I term DTP (Definitive Tangible Proof), which can be, but is not limited to, birth/baptism records, church records, marriage records, land deals (purchases/sales), death records/certificates, grave markers, tax rolls, probate records,Wills, etc.

Thank you, for your time, consideration, and cooperation, I truly appreciate it.
