children sent by YMCA

My Grandfather John Alfred Clayton was first placed at the United Church YMCA hostel in Norval Ontario. i got this from the ships record but when I contacted YMCA Archives they said that they never kept any records of the children

very disheartening to find but have still gotten other records of him in England as my grandmother had a few old letters.

would appreciate any suggestions or leads for children sent by YMCA .
