I have a SCCAPG lunch board meeting on Sat., but could do Friday ... would love to connect with folks. Let me know what's planned! I'm going to try to be everywhere at once, if at all possible.

I visited Kerry Bartels at the NARA facility in Riverside County today & we had a great chat. He told me that local societies are booking him to come out & present the particulars about the new facility & that if you want him to do so with your group, please contact him ASAP to book that presentation. Email: Kerry Bartels
He hopes to start contacting people about volunteering there within the next 2 weeks (if you have already put yourself on his list, please be patient, he will get to you; if you have not put yourself on the list & want to volunteer, contact him ASAP so he can include you in that contact email)

Please don't forget the Hemet-San Jacinto Genealogical Seminar of February 13, 2010 featuring Leland Meitzler. Lots more information about this at http://www.hsjgs.org

They aren't pinning themselves down as to when they'll be able to receive researchers or what the hours will be. Kerry will email me when they are in place to sign up volunteers (likely still a few days before official "open for business"). Contact him to get on the list if you want to volunteer. Otherwise, I will announce it when I am told the date (probably sometime in April).
