Theresa, I have something slightly different. First: it is unlikely that Pierre TREMBLAY is the son of Pierre TREMBLAY b. 1824 (having a son at age 8 is unlikely.

What I Have is Pierre TREMBLAY-ROMAINE (s/o Andre-Sauveur) m. to Helene MIGNIER-LAGACE. They had a son Pierre TREMBLAY m. 31 Jan 1853 Grande-Baie (Port Alfred) to Emelie/Elmire FORTIN daughter of Antoine FORTIN & Marie-Cornelie TREMBLAY. Marie-Cornelie is the daughte of Antoine 7 Marie TREMBLAY.

I have only know of one child listed for Pierre & Emelie which is Elmire. Besides Julia what other children did they have? Thanks, Jim.

Pierre Tremblay b. 1626, son - Pierre Tremblay b. 1660, son- Nicolas Tremblay b. 1699, son- Basil Tremblay b. 1725, son- Andre Sauveau Tremblay b. 1760, son Pierre Tremblay b. 1824, son- Pierre Trembaly b. 1832 & wife Emilia Fontain, daughter Julia Tremblay Bergeron b.1875(St. John, Ontario, Canada) -- daughter, Carrie Bergeron Giambalvo b. 1905 - daughter Rosemary Giambalvo Pooler b. 1937.

I found out during my research my best childhood friend is also a part of Pierre Tremblay (1626) lineage through his son.  Michael Tremblay... That was a lot of fun finding that out!

Theresa, what is your lineage? I am descended from the family three times. They are considered the largest single family in North America.

Hi... I'm looking for ancestors from Quebec, Canada/ Ontario, Canada for the last name Tremblay...

I found a lot of useful information on Ancestry.com but I'm looking more for people still living through the lineage of Pierre Tremblay born, France 1626.

He left France June 1647 for New France.  He arrived in Quebec in August, 1647. Pierre Tremblay was one of the first colonists in L'Ainge Guardien, P.Q.  There he met, Ozanne Achon. They took a liking to each other, and on October 2, 1657, they were married.

Any information you have is much appreciated.

Also, another useful resource for me has been http://www.findagrave.com - of course not nearly everyone is listed but I found out a lot of info about my birth dad's side of the family thanks to the site.

For those that are iffy on ancestry - you could always do the 14 day free trial and then just do as much research as you can (tip though - save the records in jpg format to your computer because once the trial is over, you won't be able to access them even if you've attached them to people in your tree).

Hi Mary,  I found a 'tree' at ancestry that may be helpful to you.  If you are not a member of Ancestry, I could copy the info for you.  Carrie was born in Vermont and died in Michigan.  It only shows 1 child-Pearl A. Ehmard b.1886-1944

hope this helps- LeLani
