My interest lies in the Carothers clan who lived in Hickman County, Tennessee. The family began when William Howell Carothers moved to Tennessee from Georgia about 1828.He was married first to Sarah Lacy who died in her 20s about 1833. William then married Sarah Mariah Barr.
