Childers line

My husband's great grandmother was a Childers. She was born in Texas, and died in California. Her name was Mildred Rey Childers. She married James Stitts. Anyone out there have any Childers from Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, North Carolina or South Carolina? Any help would be deeply appreciated. It is good to see other Childers out there.
