Interesting Information abt Texas State Troopers & the CSA

While going over the Texas Civil War Message Board, I came across this bit of important info...that often, Texas State Troopers would be enrolled for a period of 6 months to a year. These TST were eligible for pensions and then all TST during the time period were made eligible.
