Corel Cousins is dedicated to all descendants of William Corel and Rebecca Oney, past and present, as well as anyone who may be interested in the Corel family stories. William and Rebecca were married on June 6, 1811 in Tazewell County and had 14 children, 11 children that had children of their own. Of these, 2 married into the McGlothlin family, 1 into the Matney family, 3 into the Puckett family, 1 into the Justice family, 1 into the Dobbins family, and 3 into the McGee family. After packing up and moving everything they had, less 4 daughters and their families, and arriving at the Westport Landing about 1849, the family took in 3 young Peart children who had lost their mother.
The Kansas Territory was opened in May 1854, the three Corel brothers were among the first to stake their claims along the south of the Kaw River. Today descendants live all over the world.
