What areas do your Cruses come from/where are they now?

I don't have a exact place of yet, but from the history of these lines I want to say Missouri. But this is not positive. And I have not gotten back far enough to say when they were originally from.

From myself, b. 11-08-1941 in Dayton, all our Cruses came from PA in 1838 to Miami County, Ohio--near Piqua. I am now in western Oregon as are my daughters and grandsons. My parents came to Oregon in 1954 and are buried in the National Veterans' Cemetery in Portland. My greatgrandfater, George Washington Cruse and one of his brothers (the father was Augustus Cruse) went to KS in about 1889 in the winter. Why???? My grandfather, Forrest Calvin Cruse was born in Bourbon Co, KS but soon after, GWC and family went back to Ohio. I heard they were "frozen out". I will see if I can find which brother went to KS with him. That brother, I am told, stayed. Let me know if there's anything you'd like to know and I'll see what Ive got. Susan Jane Cruse (Buckeye)
