How does one find out if your ancestors grave has a DAR marker on it? I just received a printout of a book called Braceville (Ohio) Veterans which was published in 1994 and it states that only two of the 14 Revolutionary War veteransbured there have their graves marked by a DAR marker. If there a way of requesting one and is there a fee? Thanks for any input...Ellen

I am currently a member of the Ponte Vedra Chapter in Florida; I first joined the Francis Marion Chapter in Montgomery, AL. My initial ancestor was Moses Allen of Duchess County, NY. I have added supplements on John Hardin [Harding], William [Harding], Daniel Comstock, Thomas Poindexter, Thomas Flynn, John L. Harmon, and Robert Dickerson. Would be glad to help andy way I can.

Whoohoo! You go girl! I'm going to the Mayfield Family Reunion in Southern Indiana on August 30. We all have Micijah Mayfield, patriot as our commom ancestor. Micajah and his four brothers and his father fought with General George Rogers Clark, William Clark's older brother.

I'm Regent of Monserate Chapter in Fallbook, CA. Previously, I was the Registrar. I see that some of you will be able to take advantage of the two day workshop. It is excellent. I went to the workshop in Northern California a couple of years ago and I learned so much. If I can help anyone, let me know. We are 165,000 strong and growing.
