Is this a group where knowing one's DNA is important? It's still to expensive for me to be tested so I haven't done that. Roberta Baum

To Bob May,

Do you belong to a group for your DNA Project? If you belong to a group there should be several people able to help you or at least the Administrator.

My cousin participated in our DNA Project & the results got me back directly two more generations breaking down that brick wall.

Good Luck!

I have used a DNA test to try to overcome a brick wall. I have tested the last surving son of the man the paper records stop at. I now have to research for potential testers on lines that are suspected to be related and consider testing grandchildren and great grandsons of the different lines to confirm and reinforce the results I have

well why not I am just about in every other page.
Along with my own searching I also look for others.
That way every one benefits from what one is doing.
After all this is what it's all about helping each other and whats more you are FREE to do what you want to do,whether it be next door or on the other side of the world, some one somewhere will more than likely have an answer for your query, question or request.

But always remember when that request is made put as much information as possible so the or that person that will look for you can go that little bit further to find what can be found.

One of my brick walls is what was Mary Drake's maiden name? Also, when & where did she marry William Drake,Jr.? I first find them in the 1810 census of Bedford Co.,PA. They moved to Harrison Co.,OH. by 1819 & appear in the 1820 census in Harrison Co.,OH. Did they marry in PA. or Allegany Co.,MD. or somewhere else? His parents were: William Drake,Sr. & Elizabeth Hinkle.

Thanks for any help! They were my ancestors.
